Super absorbent polymer (SAP) is currently a widely used water-absorbent material that can absorb hundreds of times more than its own weight in water. SAP effect principle
SAP is a cross-linked network of flexible polymer chains. Polymer chains shrink before absorbing water. When water comes into contact with polymer chains, these chains swell. Water is trapped tightly in the network.
